Easy Date Granola Bars

how to make easy granola bars with dates with 5 ingredients

This recipe is adapted from one of my favorite food blogs minimalist baker who only uses 5 ingredients to make these! I’ve made them so many times for picnics, birthdays, and work events and everyone always raves about them! Peanut butter, honey, oatmeal, almonds, and dates are the foundation. Here in My Savory Adventures, we build by adding coconut and dark chocolate!

Toasting the almonds and oats is an optional step, however it provides a richer flavor and it only takes 10 minutes in 350 degrees F and let cool.

how to make easy granola bars with dates

Recommend using a food processor to form the dates into a paste.

In a small saucepan heat the peanut butter and honey together.

Mix it all together with love and care! Add in any kind of dried fruit you desire! We love coconut and chocolate here in this household!

Layer wax paper in glass rectangle baking dish and freeze for 10 minutes and enjoy your date granola bars!

Savory’s Tips and Tricks

  • Add in your favorite dried fruits/nut combo (try cranberries, raisins, walnuts, pistachios, pecans)
  • Use my homemade peanut butter for extra deliciousness!

Savory’s Pairing Recommendations

Crumble and add to your yogurt bowls or just eat as a tasty snack or for breakfast with your favorite coffee/tea!
